Pacific Magazines' Australian Men's Health magazine is staging an 'Urbanathlon' in Sydney on April 22.
The event is an extension of the Men’s Health Urbanathlon festivals that currently take place in 11 locations around the world, including New York, Chicago, Mexico City, Hamburg and Johannesburg.
Urbanathlon is an urban obstacle race designed to test competitors’ fitness, stamina and mental strength over a 10.7 kilometre course, connecting some of the city's most photogenic settings around the Darling Harbour, Barangaroo and Pyrmont precincts.
Men’s Health editor Ian Cockerill said: 'We can't wait to stage what will be a fun, challenging event mirroring the spirit of the magazine and its readers.'
Urbanathlon is supported in-magazine, with dedicated Urbanathlon training guides; via a tailored online hub and social media communications, and through POS and retail promos at various outlets nationwide. The event is supported by Hyundai, Sanitarium, Reebok, Tissot, Berocca and Life’s a Gym who will gain exposure in print, digital and social media, as well as direct engagement with consumers through event integration and sampling. Tickets are being sold via the magazine's website www.urbanathlon.com.au.
