Today's Financial Review carries an exclusive story 'Nine to offload paper giants' reporting a meeting last week between ACP's bankers and Pacific executives.

Quoting 'sources close to Seven West' it claims Pacific's CEO Nick Chan and financial directors Ryan Stokes and Bruce McWilliam met with ACP's financial advisors at Macquarie Bank for 'very, very preliminary discussions.' The paper describes Pacific as a 'logical buyer' of ACP Magazines. 

The story appears to emanate from an unauthorised leak. ACP's media team did not return calls and Seven's spokesman was adamant he had no comment on the story.
