Young Minds event - Free vs Paid debate

Tuesday, June 12, 2012

The commercial argument for magazine publishing is being questioned like never before. Regardless of your economic situation, all publishing people want their work to be valued. Where should the money come from? Is it better to have an open website or free magazine that is sold to advertisers on reach, or to charge for content through subscriptions and registrations? Are content producers happy to give our hard work away or do we charge accordingly?

How better to examine this fundamental issue than with a debate. From cover prices and pay walls to circulation and sponsorship, the Young Minds "Free vs Paid" event will be a lively and entertaining discussion on making money from magazines.

Publishers Australia Young Minds is proudly sponsored by Oomph in 2012. Oomph - Simply Smart Tablet Publishing. Visit OomphHQ.com for more information.
