Adrian Farrow
Adrian Farrow is a veteran of 45 years in the B2B arena and claims to have loved every day of it. He spent 16 years with Thomson Publications, rising to Director and Board member, but in particular was deeply involved with pioneering work in electronic typesetting for directories and magazines.
In 1981 Adrian left to form Westwick-Farrow, commencing with What’s New in Electronics magazines which led to many other titles and exhibitions. June 2011 will be the thirtieth birthday of the company which still retains the first print title and ten others.
Adrian served on the Board of Publishers Australia from its inception until 2009. He also champions audited circulations for both print and online products and has served on the Board of the Circulations Audit Board for eight years and is currently Vice-Chairman.
Bruce Roff
Bruce Roff has been involved in the magazine and book publishing industry for over 25 years. His involvement with Publishers Australia dates back to the early 1990’s and he was a Director from 2002 to 2009. Bruce was appointed Finance Director in March 2003 and retained that position until his retirement from the Board in June 2009, when he was made a Life Member. During his term as a Director his focus was on improving member benefits, corporate governance and building up the net worth of the association.
Bruce is currently the General Manager and a Director of Engineers Media, a specialist engineering publisher, located at Crows Nest, Sydney. He has a passion for magazine and digital publishing and enjoys networking with fellow publishers.
John Blondin
John Blondin has been a publisher of B2B, consumer and custom magazines for 25 years. He is a fellow of the Australian Marketing Institute (FAMI) and a Certified Practising Marketer (CPM).
John is a former Chairman of Publishers Australia and was a Board Member for over ten years. In 2009 John was awarded the highest individual honour, Publishers Australia Pinnacle Award, based on “recognising excellence, integrity and innovation in promoting, marketing and raising the profile of the specialist media publishing sector.”
John is CEO of Media Titles Pty Ltd (Aust) and Chairman of New Zealand’s Media Titles Group Ltd. John has successfully developed sales and marketing strategies involving print and digital products for many media and marketing companies. He is also retained by several as a consultant for marketing, sales strategy, business development, mergers, acquisitions and brand extensions from concept to execution.
