March saw major new constitutional changes introduced including the
formalisation of the Magazine Publishers of Australia (MPA) membership,

The Australian Newsagents Federation (ANF) is lobbying the government to fight new retail EFTPOS fee charges.
The new multilateral interchange fee model for EFTPOS transactions is estimated to cost consumers and small businesses $150 million annually, claimed ANF chief executive Alf Maccioni. Read more

A slight recovery in Australia's economy is expected to deliver a 1% increase in magazine publishing industry revenues for 2010-11 and promote promote growth in copy sales and advertising revenue. Despite intense competition from other media, the next five years should still achieve a 1.5% annual increase, according to Robert Bryant's report in IBISWorld.

Fairfax is unveiling the new look of revamped newspaper glossy inserts the (sydney) magazine and the (melbourne) magazine this week.
The monthly titles, which are inserted into The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age, have undergone a redesign including new masthead, logos and typography.Read more
